Helping Iranian Duchenne Boys

Helping Iranian Duchenne Boys

Inspired by my love for my brothers, who lived with and ultimately died from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, I have been working directly with families in Iran that are affected by the disease since 2009. Currently we are operating in Iran under supervision of Panah Children Charity, a UK based charity operating in Iran. So far we have identified and helped around 700 families in Iran but sadly due to lack of resources and awareness around Duchenne thousands of families still desperately need our assistance.

  • Firstly, by raising funds we hope to provide care and support as well the latest treatments and assistive technology to those already suffering with Duchenne so that they can live longer and have happier lives in their community.
  • Secondly, we would like to make quality education available to all Duchenne boys ensuring they can become active members of society in their adult lives.
  • And lastly, to create awareness and access to technology that identifies genetic carriers, provide information as well as state of the art assistance and back the already ongoing, cutting-edge research that leads to the cure. With your help and collective effort, we can do this.
